Flood Relief for Duk Payuel
ASAH needs your help to protect homeless villagers from malarial mosquitos.

THE SITUATION
Duk Payuel, the village where ASAH targets our aid efforts, is once again fighting to survive—but this time the threat is Mother Nature. Much like our own Red River Valley communities, Duk, located in the Nile River Valley, has been inundated with unprecedented flooding. Though the local clinic and the village center have been protected by mud walls built by villagers, many families have already lost the battle. Roads, the airstrip, farms and huts are under water, the mud huts deteriorating in the high water. Joseph Akol Makeer, now working in Southern Sudan is traveling to Nairobi to acquire nets and blankets to help his people. Joseph wrote to alert us to the need for IMMEDIATE ACTION.
